Daily five obligatory salat prayers in the Qur’an

Muslims who follow and obey the Messenger in the Qur’an pray five times a day and the evidence that there are five prayer times is the present of the word “middle” and the existing of a middle prayer or the “AssalatuWusta” in the Quran. When there is a middle prayer the total number of times of prayer must be an odd number.

In Arabic grammar there is the duality a plurality of two and plurality of many which is three or more than three.

S2:238 Guard strictly your prayers (Assalawaat) and the Middle Prayer (AssalatulWusta); and stand before Allah in a devout (frame of mind).

In the above verse, the Arabic word plural “Assalawaat” is a plurality of many and therefore must be a minimum of three. But a plural of three prayers plus the Middle salat as an additional prayer makes it a total of four prayers.

However, a total of four times of prayer cannot have a middle prayer. So the middle prayer at S2:238 determined that the “Assalawaat” consist of a plural of more than three which is four prayers and together with the Middle prayer it adds up  to a total of five prayer times in the Quran.

This Middle salat at S2:238 is significant as it stood in the middle of the four other salat times mentioned in the Quran –

Three prayer times were mentioned here in –

S11:114 And establish regular prayers at the two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night….

Another prayer time is mentioned in –

S17:78 Establish regular prayers at the sun’s decline towards the darkness of the night…

The four times of prayer from the above verses are –

S11:114 Two ends of the day is dawn (Fajar) and sunset (Maghrib) and approaches of the night time is early night (Ishaa’).

S17:78 sun declined at time of zenith is noon (zohor).

Thus the obligatory prayers to be established at the start of the day is when the sun rises at –

Fajar (sunrise)……..then declined at
Zohor (noon)………..then it moves to
Wusta (middle)……..then it falls to
Maghrib (sunset)….and when it vanishes at
Ishaa’ (early night)

Those were the verses Allah guided who believed in Him with understanding how His Prophet Muhammad A.S. received inspiration on the times of prayer in the Qur’an.

But the fake hadith fabricated the prophet went to heaven on a donkey with the face of a woman to bargain with God from 50 to 5 times of prayers with the advice of Moses!

Nevertheless, there are also others who claimed there are only three times of prayer and not five as there is only three names of salat mentioned in the Qur’an. This can be easily refuted as the command from Allah is not based on names of salat but on specific times of salat –

S4:103 And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting, or [lying] on your sides. But when you become secure, re-establish [regular] prayer. Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times.

Furthermore, if the command in the Quran consist of three times of prayer the word in the S2:238 would have been Arabic “salataani” (duality of two prayers) plus the middle prayer it adds to 3 prayers.

But the Arabic plural word prayers mentioned is “Assalawaat” a plurity of three or more confirmed it is five and not three times of prayer commanded by Allah to the Prophet Muhammad!

And it is worth to be noted in the Qur’an that if there is dispute in the meaning from the English translation the Arabic words and meaning were to be referred and held supreme –

S13:37 Thus have We revealed it to be a judgment of authority in Arabic. Wert thou to follow their vain desires after the knowledge which hath reached thee, then would thou find neither protector nor defender against Allah.

THE QURAN CONFIRMED IT IS A COMPLETE BOOK AND DETAILED –

S6:38 There is not an animal that lives on the earth, nor a being that flies on its wings, but (forms part of) communities like you. Nothing have we omitted from the Book, and they all shall be gathered to their Lord in the end.

S6:114 [Say], “Then is it other than Allah I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail?” And those to whom We gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters.

S7:52 And We had certainly brought them a Book which We detailed by knowledge as guidance and mercy to a people who believe
