Tower of Babel, Alexander the Great and Dirham

TOWER OF BABEL
There is no contradiction in the Quran, a Christian make a false claim that Pharaoh ask Hamam to build the Tower of Babel but that Tower was in Babylon where Solomon was mentioned not Pharaoh –

S2:102 They followed what the evil ones gave out (falsely) against the power of Solomon: the blasphemers were, not Solomon, but the evil ones, teaching men magic, and such things as came down at Babylon to the angels Harut and Marut…..

Pharaoh built his own tower in Egypt as he said –

S28:38 And Pharaoh said, “O eminent ones, I have not known you to have a god other than me. Then ignite for me, O Haman, [a fire] upon the clay and make for me a tower that I may look at the God of Moses. And indeed, I do think he is among the liars.”

S40:36-37 And Pharaoh said, “O Haman, construct for me a tower that I might reach the ways. The ways into the heavens – so that I may look at the deity of Moses; but indeed, I think he is a liar.”…..

ALEXANDER THE GREAT
The Quran is not talking about Alexander the Great. Alexander went all the way eastward but never went to conquer west of his country Macedonia.

On the contrary, Zulkarnain of the Quran went furthest into deep west shown by the parable –

S18:86 Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it set in a spring of murky water: Near it he found a People: We said: “O Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness.”

Then he turned towards the east and went  furthest into deep east shown by the parable where the weather was hot –

S18:90 Until, when he came to the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We had provided no covering protection against the sun.

So Zul-qarnain of the Qur’an cannot be Alexander the Great.

USAGE OF DIRHAM
The usage of the Dirham during Joseph’s time in the Quran is to show the Arab readers and listeners during the Prophet’s time what it worth when Joseph was sold.

The word “dirham” ultimately comes from drachma (δραχμή), the Greek coin. The Greek-speaking Byzantine Empire controlled the Levant and traded with Arabia, circulating the coin there in pre-Islamic times and afterward. It was this currency which was first used as an Arab word. According to ancient Greece 5 drachma is worth three bottles of olive oil.

S12:20 They sold him for a miserable price, for a few dirhams counted out: in such low estimation did they hold him!

The Arabic “few dirham” is to show how cheap the slaves were sold during Joseph’s time!

So there is no contradiction in all the above three issues claimed by sceptics of the Qur’an.
