Sunan al-Nasa’i (4035)
“Some Bedouin from ‘Uraynah came to the Prophet of Allah [SAW] and accepted Islam, but the climate of Al-Madinah did not suit them; their skin turned yellow and their bellies became swollen. The Prophet of Allah sent them to some milk camels of his and told them to drink their milk and urine until they recovered.”
The above hadith is a clear example which implies a deliberate motive to deceive readers by making claimed the medicinal value of the camel’s urine came through revelation the Prophet received.
But the Prophet will never recommend any peculiar drink which do not have the approval from Allah –
S10:15 But when Our Clear Signs are rehearsed unto them, those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, say: “Bring us a reading other than this, or change this,” Say: “It is not for me, of my own accord, to change it: I follow naught but what is revealed unto me: if I were to disobey my Lord, I should myself fear the penalty of a Great Day (to come).”
The Prophet would recommend all the good things Allah has made lawful and good at any time or at any place for the good of mankind –
S5:87 O ye who believe! make not unlawful the good things which Allah hath made lawful for you but commit no excess: for Allah loveth not those given to excess.
S7:31 O Children of Adam! wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer: eat and drink: But waste not by excess, for Allah loveth not the wasters.
Normal natural drinking water which is good –
S15:22 And We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers.
S16:10 It is He who sends down rain from the sky; from it is drink and from it is foliage in which you pasture animals.
S77:27 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water.
Milk, juices and honey are with the medicinal value –
S16:60 And indeed, for you in grazing livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from what is in their bellies between excretion and blood pure milk, palatable to drinkers.
S16:67 And from the fruit of the date-palm and the vine, ye get out wholesome drink and food: behold, in this also is a sign for those who are wise.
S16:69 Then eat from all the fruits and follow the ways of your Lord laid down [for you].” There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing for people. Indeed’ in that is a sign for a people who give thought.
S23:21 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies, We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, besides, numerous other benefits for you; and of their meat ye eat.
As there is no mentioned of camel’s or cow’s urine as medicine that were inspired to the Prophet for his companions to drink when they were sick, this proved that the hadith was fabricated to confuse Muslims view on urine and at the same time to rival the authority of the Qur’an as the sole guidance for Muslims.
The Qur’an is to be used for judgment –
S4:105-106 Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth so you may judge between the people by that which Allah has shown you. And do not be for the deceitful an advocate. And seek forgiveness of Allah. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.
S25:51 The only statement of the [true] believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them is that they say, “We hear, and we obey.” And those are the successful.
