THE AQSA MOSQUE IS IN THE BLESSED PRECINCT WHICH IS IN MAKKAH AND NOT IN JERUSALEM.
The Aqsa Mosque that is in Jerusalem was not the Mosque as is quoted in the Quran at S17:1 as that Mosque was originally built by the fifth Umayyad caliph Abd al-Malik (reign 685–705) or his successor al-Walid I (reign 705–715) (or both) as a congregational mosque on the same axis as the Dome of the Rock, a commemorative Islamic monument.
The Aqsa Mosque in the Qur’an is located in the blessed precinct and there is only one blessed precinct in the world and it is located in Bakkata which is an area in Makkah for Muslims to do their duty of pilgrimage.
S3:96-97 The first House of worship appointed for men was that at Bakkata: Full of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings: In it (Bakkata) are Signs Manifest; the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it (Bakkata) attains security; Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah, those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures.
The Prophet was taken for a night journey from the Sacred Mosque (AlMasjidil Haram) which is at the Kaabah to the Furthest Mosque (AlMasjidil Aqsa) which is at the other end of the blessed precinct where the Sacred Monument is located at Arafah mentioned at S2:198.
S17:1 Glory to (Allah) Who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque (AlMasjidil Haram) to the farthest Mosque (AlMasjidil Aqsa), whose precincts We did bless, in order that We might show him some of Our Signs: for He is the One Who heareth and seeth all things.
The two Mosques were located in the same blessed precincts where pilgrims do their duty of annual Pilgrimage.
S2:198 It is no crime in you if ye seek of the bounty of your Lord (during pilgrimage). Then when ye pour down from Arafat, celebrate the praises of Allah at the Sacred Monument, and celebrate His praises as He has directed you, even though, before this, ye went astray.
The distance between the two Mosques in the blessed precinct is a night journey during the Prophet’s time with the use of a horse or a camel as a mean of transport.
The distance between the Ka’baa where the Sacred Mosque is and AlMash’ar al-Haram where the Furthest Mosque at Arafat is located is approximately 30 km and travelling in a car with a speed 60 kmp will take roughly thirty minutes but on a camel ride, a working camel can comfortably carry half their own body weight for 6-8 hours a day or a night journey.
Thus, the above time and distance between the two Mosques confirmed that the night journey of the Prophet at S17:1 was in the blessed precinct of Bakkata in Makkah.
AQSA MOSQUE IN JERUSALEM DURING THE PROPHET’S TIME IS A HOAX.
There was no mosque during the Prophet’s time in Jerusalem as the first Mosque was only built during the rule of Caliph Abd Al-Malik in the year AD 685-705 after 53 years the Prophet died in AD 632.
And even with a Mosque in Jerusalem it is impossible for Muslim believers to visit and maintained during the time of the Prophet –
S9:18 The mosques of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such as believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity, and fear none at all except Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance.
