According to the Qur’an, music is not haram as long as it is being sang decently but it is sinful if it is applied to religious rituals as in praying or remembering of Allah as done by the pagans –
S8:35 And their prayer at the House was not except whistling and handclapping. So taste the punishment for what you disbelieved.
This similar pagan ritual is still practised during the church service on Sunday in many churches around the world today. They have the piano or an organ to start with, then they sing the rhythm and do the beat by clapping their hands to praise God corporately.
Alcohol in the Quran is not haram or prohibited as there are some benefit in it.
S2:219 They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, “In them is great sin and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit.”…….
As long as there is good reason to use alcohol as medicine or beneficial to oneself then it is not a sin to consume or using it.
It is only sinful if alcohol and gambling lead to drunkenness and threat to personal live, business, and destructive to good family relationship respectively.
S5:90-91 O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination, of Satan’s handwork: eschew such abomination, that ye may prosper. Satan’s plan is but to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain?
